Can Base Rail Kit and B&W Gooseneck Hitch be Installed Together

Question:

If the BandW turnover ball mounts in the same spot that the fifth wheel rail mounts would it be possible to put both the brackets in the same location and use a slightly longer bolt to bolt the mounting brackets to the frame to install fifth wheel rails over top of a BandW turnover ball?

If the B&W Gooseneck brackets mount on one side of the frame and the brackets for a 5th wheel base rail kit mounts on the other side of the frame and they don't interfere with each other then you could use longer bolts to secure both to frame, but usually manufactures don't recommend going that route since their equipment hasn't been tested and approved for that type of setup.

Since you already have the B&W gooseneck I recommend just picking up the Demco Base Rails Adapter # DM6140 because it fits directly into the gooseneck coupler and gives you your 5th wheel base rails. That or you can use the Sliding # BWRVK3400 or Stationary # BWRVK3500 B&W Companion 5th wheel hitch which fits directly to the coupler so you don't need any type of adapter.
