Question:
do you have a class 5 hitch for a 2015 F-550 Tradesman that will handle 20,000 lbs?
asked by: Glen A
Expert Reply:
Sure do, as long as the distance between the outer edges of the frame members is 34 inches and the vertical distance between the bottom of the frame members and the underside of the bumper is less than 6 inches, the Curt # C15845 Class V hitch is what you'd need. The hitch has a 20K towing/2700 lb tongue weight capacity and features a 2-1/2 inch receiver tube.
If you need a greater drop than that, you'll need to use a weld-on service body hitch like # C87CR which also features a 2-1/2 inch receiver and a 20K capacity.
