What Roof Rack do You Recommend for My 2018 Subaru Impreza with Fixed Mounting Points?
Question:
Hello, i have a question about crossbars for my subaru impreza 5-door waggon without existing rails only fixed mounting points. We have the possibility to get Malone 58 AirFlow2 crossbars from a friend. The question is, if there is a solution to mount them on our car roof because we dont have existing rails, so we need other feet for the fixed points. Do you have an idea if this is possible and if yes, then which feet we need? thanks in advance and kind regards

I have a roof rack solution for you. Unfortunately, I confirmed with Malone that there is no foot pack available to attach the Malone AirFlow2 # MPG216 to your fixed mounting points on your 2018 Subaru Impreza. This is because the AirFlow2 can only attach to raised factory rails.
However, we do have an option that is engineered to fit your fixed mounting points:
- Thule SquareBar Evo Crossbars - Steel - 47" # TH712200
- Rapid Podium Feet for Thule Crossbars - Fixed Point # TH460R
- Fit Kit for Thule Podium-Style Roof Rack Feet - 3158 # THKIT3158
- Thule One-Key Lock Cylinders # TH450400
This particular Thule setup fits both hatchback and sedan models of 2018 Subaru Imprezas with fixed mounting points. The great thing about the SquareBar Evo system is that the slots on the bottoms of bars allow for a quick and easy installation on the feet. You also gain a 220 pound weight capacity. As with all roof rack systems, I recommend consulting with your owner's manual to make sure your vehicle's roof can hold the weight you wish to transport.
