Updated 02/14/2022 | Published 02/13/2022

Question:

I bought a 2020Thor ACE Motorhome last. Not new to camping but new to Motorhomes I felt kind of bet up from a day of driving. Been looking at anti sway bars for the back and the anti sway steering also. If I had to chose what one to do first what would you suggestion be. I am leaning to the steering. Thank you

The correct anti-sway bars for your 2020 Thor ACE Motorhome are going to depend on the GVWR of your model.

If you have a GVWR of 16,000 or 18,000lbs then you would want the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-146 for the rear.

If you have a GVWR of 18,001 - 21,999 the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-145 will fit as long as the shock mounts are parallel to the ground and have two holes (pictured below).

For a GVWR of 22,000 the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM25VR is the correct fit.

For the front the Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-148 will fit all GVWR under 23,999.

For a steering stabilizer you'll need the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer w/ Custom Brackets for Class A Motorhomes # RM42RR if your GVWR is under 24,000lbs or part # RM62RR if your GVWR is over 24,000lbs. .

As for which to to do first, the sway bar is going to help with body roll and sway whereas the stabilizer is going take away the stiffness you feel when trying to make a turn and make steering your motorhome much easier. You'll need to decide which of the two are the biggest issue for your specific motorhome.
