How is the height measured for a Jack?

Expert Reply:
Good question, and the height of a side frame mount trailer jack is measured from the very bottom of the jack to the middle of the mounting bracket.
So for example, the Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack # FXP15 has a retracted height of 15-1/2 inches and extended height of 25-1/2 inches for 10 inches of lift.
