Determining Cutout For Furrion Electric Fireplace on a 2017 CrossRoads Sunset Trail 310RL

Question:

I have a cabinet opening of 31 inches wide and 20 inches tall. I am going to take the three doors off and modify or remove the shelving that is in place. Will this 34 inch fireplace go in here or do I have to go to the 30 inch Furrion ? Our camper is a 2017 Sunset Trail 310rl

The Furrion RV Electric Fireplace # FF34SW15ABL will allow you to mount it in 2 different cutout sizes. The difference is if your cabinet is deep enough and if it is able to protrude from the cabinet surface.

With the cutout: 30-9/16" wide x 16-1/4" tall x 5" deep the fireplace will sit out from the cabinet 1-1/4". The instructions refer to this as Half-Flush, see link below.

The cutout: 33-3/16" wide x 17-13/16" tall x 7-3/16" deep will only only stick out the thickness of the front glass. The extra space is required for ventilation.

For your 2017 Crossroads Sunset Trail 310RL I believe the Half-Flush mounting will work just fine since the cabinet is in the slide below the TV.
