how much of a is there between the C13145 and the straight bar model C13280? Will either work on 2001 dakota club cab 4x4 with full 16inch spare tire?

The hitch opening will be in the exact same spot between the Curt Hitch # C13145 and Curt Hitch # C13280. The only difference between these hitches is that the # C13280 is a square tube hitch whereas the # C13145 is a round tube hitch.
Either hitch will work with your factory spare, if you check out the install video I attached for the # C13280 you will see that a full sized spare is still able to be installed with the hitch.
