For the etrailer Hitch # e98902, the only possible trimming you need to do is if the seam seals overhang on the housing locations on your 2021 Mazda CX-5. This is if you do not have a Grand Touring model. If you happen to have the Grand Touring Model, there is an underbody trim piece that needs to be removed to install the hitch. All of our current hitch receivers we carry for a Grand Touring model require this cut.
