How Much Ground Clearance Will There Be with Mobility Scooter Carrier On 2017 Jeep Renegade

Question:

I have to use the power chair to get around when I go shopping and would like to know if there would be enough clearance between the ground and the carrier as not to drag or get caught on anything.

The amount of clearance you have between the ground and mobility scooter carrier will be largely dependent on the carrier you choose, I recommend one with a built-in rise if avavailbe. The height of the trailer hitch isn't adjustable and will be the same pretty much no matter which option you go with but I do recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13269. There are many variables here but the distance from the ground to the top inside edge of the receiver is around 10.25". It's possibly the carrier will be low to the ground but there isn't really anything you can do about this so go with one that offers the best clearance and just be careful with hills and steep driveways.
