For your 2017 Fiat 500 Abarth, the best and only route is to transport your bikes via a hitch receiver. For a great compatible hitch, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch - 1-1/4" # C11347. Not only does this hitch provide you with 2-200 pounds of maximum tongue weight, it also includes a gloss outer coat over the base powder coat that gives you ultimate protection against rust and corrosion. As far as installation, it includes a simple bolt-on process that only takes about 50 minutes to complete. Also, with this setup, you can have the freedom to cruise with your top down.

As far as the rack itself, I recommend the Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # TH9058. The Camber comes with a 37.5 pound per-bike weight capacity and comes with an anti-rattle hitch pin. To add a lock for protection of the bikes on the rack, you can add the Thule Cable Lock w/ One Key System Lock - 6' Long # TH538XT. If you plan on transporting children's bikes, women's bikes, or bikes with step-thru frames, I recommend the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar # 64005. The adapter bar provides your bikes with a straight, horizontal plane that is required to fit onto the arms of the Camber.
