Parts Needed to Tow with a 2022 Hyundai Tucson

Question:

This vehicle is rated to tow 2000 lbs. I am getting a 1100 lb tear with electric brakes. Do you have a hitch and harness that will work for me?

We do! For a hitch on your 2022 Hyundai Tucson I recommend the Curt # C94WR because we have found that the Curt hitches tend to have a thicker powder coat so they resist the elements better.

For wiring I recommend the Curt T-Connector # CU94FR because it has the highest amp rating. This gives you the basic lighting functions for your trailer.

If you're wanting to utilize the trailer brakes then I also recommend installing the Wiring Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L so that you can use the Curt Echo Wireless Controller # C51180. This brake controller is adjusted via an app on your Apple/Android device and requires much less wiring to be ran through and around your vehicle - all you do is connect the ETBC7L to the 4-Way and then route the power wire to your battery.

To complete your towing setup you also need a ball mount and hitch ball. I recommend checking out the TowSmart Towing Starter Kit # TS94FR which comes with your ball mount, a 2" hitch ball, and a locking hitch pin for security.
