Is It Safe To Mount The Furrion Tankless Water Heater In a Compartment Above The Propane Tank
Updated 01/24/2022 | Published 01/21/2022 >
Question:
How far away from the propane tank should this heater be once its installed within a motorhome? Im installing it from scratch in a new build. Id like to put the tank about 6inch under the heater but I dont know if thats safe and it doesnt mention distance on the installation instructions - as far as I can see. The tank will have a physical barrier in the form of a solid wood shelf between it and the heater.

When installing your Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR48SR on your motorhome, there is no required distance that it must be from your on board propane tank. It is important that your onboard propane tank is properly mounted in a well vented area and that it be fire blocked from any appliances or other ignition sources. Most RV manufacturers will have a steel box around the propane tank and vented below to the ground.
