Where to Put Curt Support Strap on Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack

Question:

Would you please advise as to where I would put a Curt support strap on a Yakima HoldUp on a 2013 Odyssey with a 2” hitch receiver? I’ve been told on the last bike but I’d like your guys’ opinion. Also would you advise more than one strap? Thanks!

While it isn't necessary to use the Curt Cam Buckle Stabilizing Strap # 18050 with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13068 that fits your 2013 Honda Odyssey, it can certainly be done. And the best place to put the strap on the Yakima HoldUp # Y02443 is on the bike tray closest to the vehicle of the rack.

In order to ensure equal stability on both sides, if you decide to use the strap I do recommend using two, with one on each side of the shank/stinger.
