Question:

We are purchasing a liquid propane 70k BTU gas log set. It requires 12”WC. We want to fuel it from two LP tanks 20 to 40 lbs each. What is the correct automatic changeover regular we should use?

Expert Reply:

The pressure regulators we have available are all a nominal 11" WC which is most common for RV appliances. Please verify your gas log set requires 12" WC minimum. If an 11" WC will work, I suggest the MB Sturgis Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator, # 108220. You will also need two Type 1 connection hoses to go from the tanks to the regulator, # 100473-12 is a 12 inch hose. This has a flow capacity of up to 400,000 Btu per hour.
