Can 18.5 x 8.5-8 trailer tires be balanced?

Trailer tires do not have to be balanced but what is normally done when a tire and wheel combo is put together by the manufacturer is a sort of balancing. They take the heavy spot on the tire and line it up with the light spot on the wheel. The problem with balancing trailer tires is that it takes special equipment beyond what most tire shops have available. It takes a special rig to balance trailer tires and trying to balance them the same as vehicle tires will not work.
