What is the Crossbar Spread of the Malone AirFlow2 # MPG201 for My Subaru Outback?
Question:
Hi, I have a 2017 Outback with factory roofrack and integrated cross-bars, your site shows that the Malone Aero2 bars will fit, would you know the centre to centre spacing between the bars when installed? For the USA I have the non-touring model, therefore has the black factory rails with the swing out crossbar. D

The Malone AirFlow2 # MPG201 is only confirmed to fit non-Touring models of 2017 Subaru Outback Wagons with raised factory side rails. They are not confirmed to fit your crossbar system if you are planning to mount the crossbars between the factory bars or if you plan to recede your crossbars into the rail housings.
With that being said, if you have raised rails on your 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon non-touring, we do not have the exact crossbar spread (center-to-center) of the AirFlow2 because the crossbars can be adjusted along the rails along different mounting locations. Anywhere there is room to grasp the rails is a compatible mounting location for the crossbars. However, from our available specs, you will be able to have a crossbar spread of at least 24 inches. I went ahead and attached a video of the crossbars used on a raised rail system to provide you with perspective.
For a definite fit, we do have a Yakima system that fits your non-Touring model even with your factory crossbars. For that setup, you need the following parts:
- Yakima JetStream Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 50" # Y00425
- SkyLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Fixed Mounting Points, Flush Rails, and Track Systems # Y53TR
- Landing Pad 15 for Yakima SkyLine and Control Towers # Y00241
- Yakima Same-Key Lock Cores # Y07204
In order to confirm whether you have a compatible non-touring roof rack, I recommend confirming that your current roof rack has fixed mounting points to attach the landing pad 15. Feel free to see the attached video for perspective. Your setup will look very similar to that one.
