Troubleshooting a Go Power Remote Display For MPPT Solar Charge Controllers That Won't Power On
Updated 01/13/2022 | Published 01/12/2022 >
Question:
My remote doesn’t power on. How do I know if the remote is bad or if there’s a problem with the solar controller or RJ12 cable? Does it have to be turned on or is it always on if plugged into the controller? Thanks.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Bluetooth Remote Display for Go Power MPPT Solar Charge Controllers # GP37MR is powered directly from the solar charge controller so I recommend checking the connections to ensure that the RJ12 wire is properly seated. If they are then you would want to trace the wire and ensure that there are no cuts or bends in the wire. You'll also want to verify that the controller is powered on.
If you find not damage to the RJ12 wire and the connections are properly seated then either the RJ12 wire is bad or the remote is bad. This product does come with a 5-year manufacturer warranty so I recommend reaching out to Go Power for replacement parts if needed.
