Question:

2013 vw new beetle convertible has support crossing bar with big bolt right next to installation hole Ive seen on internet. What is the proper hitch and install photos for 2013 vw new beetle CONVERTIBLE model. Would love a youtube install video on this? please advise?

For the 2013 Volkswagen Beetle convertible the only hitch I show listed as a fit is the Curt hitch # C11354 that you have referenced. We do not have a video yet of this specific vehicle but I have included a link to the installation instructions for you. As soon as we get one in we will make a video, that I can promise you.

If you plan on using this hitch for a bike rack or cargo carrier Curt recommends the use of a stabilization strap # 18050 to take some of the stress off of the hitch.

If you plan on doing some towing the correct ball mount is # C45521 and you would need pin and clip # PC2. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. For trailer wiring use # C56380. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view.
