2019 Highlander Hybrid Weight Distribution Recommendation for 2022 Coleman Lantern 17B

Question:

Hi! I’m interested in purchasing a 2022 Coleman lantern 17b to camp. I drive a 2019 Toyota Highlander hybrid limited and have been seeing some mixed responses on what it’s “true” tow capacity is. The trailer is listed online at 2,986 dry weight while the sticker on the model says dry weight of 3,100 and gvwr of 3,850. I know that driving a hybrid, my tow capacity is settled at 3,500. Considering the limit, I want the safest setup possible to tow the weight mentioned. What would you suggest?

First thing I would recommend is to make sure you stay under the 3,500 lb capacity of your 2019 Toyota Highlander but as far as a weight distribution system the Reese Strait Line part # RP66082 which has a tongue weight range of 200-600 lbs and has best sway control at preventing sway before it starts.
