Question:

Hi there, I have a X-cargo sport ski box. It is probably around twenty years old. Not sure what happened, but like all the other folks on the site we cant seem to find the key. The number on the lock tumbler is A103. I was looking at your cross reference list and I dont see that number. Im positive that it says A103. Hoping you can help me. Best Regards

I do agree that you have A103 on the core in your X-Cargo roof box. With that said, you will want the Thule Replacement Key # THKEYN103. Thule did help with the production of the Sears X-Cargo roof boxes so their keys do work. However, this is a pretty old core number so you may need to tap the key very lightly, and I do mean very lightly, with the end of a slot screwdriver once it is put in the core. This will help it to seat fully and work properly. I know this sounds odd, but it is something that I have to tell people more often than you would think. Just tap it a few times and then see if it will turn. It may take a few times to get it to turn properly, so just be patient.
