In order to use a Redarc Tow Pro Elite on your 2022 Toyota Sequoia you will need a 4-way and 7-way connector installed on your vehicle. The nice thing about your Toyota Sequoia is that it not only comes equipped with a hitch receiver, but the 4/7-pin connector is already installed on your vehicle. So all you need is the brake controller. This brake controller will consist of the following:
Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller - 2 Braking Modes - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional, part # RED44FR
Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers - Pigtail - Toyota, part # 3040-P
Redarc to Tekonsha Adapter # 331-TPH-017
This brake controller comes with a custom harness that plugs into your existing wiring. You will have to remove the panel in your cab under your steering wheel to the right. There you will find the plug that you will plug your brake controller into. The Redarc Tow Pro Elite control module does not have a restriction on how it is oriented during installation, which makes its installation much easier.
I have included product description links and video of the Tow Pro Elite being installed in a Toyota Highlander below.
