I have a great roof rack solution for you. I confirmed with Thule that you will unfortunately not be able to use the Rapid Traverse Feet # TH480R on your new 2022 Volkswagen Jetta with a bare roof. This is because the only approved roof rack that will fit involve the Evo Clamp Feet for Thule Crossbars - Naked Roofs # TH710501.

With that being said, if you wish to upgrade your roof rack, you need the following parts in addition to the Evo Clamp Feet:

- Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 53" # TH711420 (black) or # TH711400 (silver)
- Fit Kit for Thule Evo Clamp Roof Rack Feet - 5204 # TH145204
- Thule One-Key System Locks # TH450400

With this setup, you get the benefit of an extremely aerodynamic system with dual rubber channel strips that provide superior wind resistance. Also, with this setup, you will have a maximum weight capacity of 165 pounds on your Jetta. In order to make sure your roof can accommodate that much weight, I recommend confirming with your vehicle's owner's manual.
