I have a 2022 Toyota Rav4 and I am installing trailer wiring, how do I get the power wire ran to the battery?

How you run the wire for the battery when installing the Curt Wiring Harness # C56434 on your 2022 Toyota Rav4 is a matter of preference. Some people like to run the wire through the inside of the vehicle and others prefer to run the wire under the vehicle. The wire will need to be ran from near the tail light to the engine compartment where the battery is.

I would suggest running the wire under the vehicle rather than through the inside. This will prevent you from having to take the interior apart to get the wire ran through the length of your vehicle inside.

There is actually a grommet you can use at the rear of your vehicle to get the wire outside by your tail light. I have included a video of the # 118801 being installed. In the video they show you where this grommet is and you can see how they chose to route the wire. It is always handy to have extra Cable Ties # DW05727-25 on hand to secure the wire as you go.
