Question:
I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500, I want to get tow mirrors but most pictures I see have three prongs that the bolts screw on to hold the mirror onto the door. My truck has the standard mirrors but just two prong spots, above each other. Is the tow mirrors ordered for that year just have two prongs? Or is there some kind of adaptor Id need to get?

It is entirely possible that on your 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 there are actually three studs and you just cannot see the third one. The way to tell would be to remove the door interior to access the nuts that go on the studs to secure the mirror to the door. All of the towing mirrors for the 2004 Dodge Ram have the 3-stud pattern.
The other option are some slip on mirrors like # KS80700. If your mirrors look like the ones in the video I have linked then you can use the slip-on type of mirrors.
