Question:

TRU27FR. Can I use this to build a kayak trailer? I would be fabricating a trailing arm with a coil-over suspension. Will the grease fitting work in the water or do you have a different setup I can use with bearing buddies?

Your kayak trailer can absolutely use the BTR E-Z Lube Spindle w/ Brake Flange for 2,500-lb Trailer Axles - 1-3/4" Diameter # TRU27FR.

So long as your hub utilizes the grease cap properly the E-Z Lube spindle will be perfectly fine on your kayak trailer in the water. E-Z Lube spindles are fairly common on boat trailers, and its convenience alone makes it the better option than a standard spindles, so you'll be happy going with the E-Z Lube Spindle # TRU27FR.

Then for a hub that works with the spindle, I recommend a galvanized option, and there are two that fit, and both come with the bearings, races, seal, and grease cap:
