I had a hitch put on with wiring. The brake lights dont work. I brought back today and the dont know why. Im ordering the installation kit and wanted to know if this includes the directions on how and where to install the relays. thanks

The # N40975 Trailer Wiring Kit will include detailed instructions on how to install this part and the associated relays.
There is a relay panel under the hood, in the engine bay, by the battery on the passenger side. If you remove the cover you will see some open ports. Trailer Tow 1 is where the blue relay goes and Trailer Tow 2 is where the brown relay goes. I have included a video showing the installation of this harness below.
Most likely, your current harness is missing the relays, which explains why your brake lamps are not working.
