I spoke with ComeUp and getting the Replacement Synthetic Rope for ComeUp Seal Gen2 and DV Winches # CU98XR installed is a little bit of a process. Not overly difficult, but a few steps to follow to make sure it is secure. I have said steps listed out below:
1. Remove the Allen screw holding your current rope in place.
2. Remove all the old rope, cutting it if needed to quicken the process.
3. Feed in the new rope and secure with the same Allen screw.
4. Fold over enough rope to cover the width of the drum (typically 9" to 10" of the new rope).
5. Secure in this position with electrical tape.
6. Spool up the new rope.
So there are a few steps, but it shouldn't take more than 10 or 15 minutes to complete.
