Question:

Hello. I recently had the curt hitch installed on my 19 Silverado trailboss with the 5.3 and it was perfect. I just tried to install the same hitch on my 2021 Gmc at4 with the 3.0 diesel and it doesn’t seem to work. The same bolt holes are there just like the Chevy but the cooling fan shroud is in the way and won’t let the hitch slip in. Do you know of one that will fit? I assume the duramax has a different fan assembly which is the problem.

The Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT44HR is confirmed to fit your 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 3.0L diesel engine. This receiver is rated for a vertical load up to 500lbs and a line pull rating of up to 9,000lbs.

This Draw-Tite uses different mounting points than the Curt # C31088 that you installed on your 2019 Trailboss. The Curt will not fit the 3.0L Duramax or 2.7L Turbo Gas engine due to the intercoolers.

I recommend using the WeatherTech BumpStepXL # WT81BS1XL to keep dirt and debris out of the receiver tube while driving. The step is also great for getting into your engine bay especially on the taller AT4 trim.
