Question:

can the auto slide portion be disabled and used as a standard hitch? my current fifth wheel trailer has a movable hitch on the trailer itself but in the future i may want the auto slide feature for a different trailer, dont want to buy another hitch in the future if this will still work with my current trailer and something larger in the future DM8550024?

You should be able to lockout the pivoting hitch on your current 5th wheel, as the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch # DM8550024 that fits your 2022 Ford F-350 with the factory Prep/Puck system cannot be disabled and used as a standard hitch. Most pivoting pin boxes can be locked out and used as a standard pin box. Be sure to verify that your pin box is locked out correctly with the pin box manufacturer before attempting to hitch to the Demco Autoslide 5th wheel hitch.
