With the GVWR of your 2008 Hawk horse trailer being 7,000 pounds, the Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BLU47FR will be a great option for you. When choosing the correct weight distribution system, you want to get your loaded tongue weight as close to the middle of said system's capacities as possible. Tongue weight is generally 10% of the GVWR and in your case, that 700 pounds put you smack dab in the middle of the # BLU47FR 's range. Couldn't really ask for much better than that. This is also American made and has a lifetime warranty, which are huge pluses in my book.
The only downside, if it can be called that, is that it comes with a 2-5/16" ball. Typically a trailer with a 7,000 pound capacity will use a 2" coupler, so you may need to get something like the 2" Hitch Ball # A-90 to go along with the system.
