how does the control knob on the curt C51170 brake controller wire into the controller ? access to installation instructions might answer questions like this.

I attached a page that I took from the install instructions for the Curt brake controller # C51170 that you referenced that covers the install of the knob of the brake controller. Basically a backing plate attaches to the dash with included hardware and then the knob attaches to it.
