What Trunk-Mount Bike Carriers Will Clear Rear Spoiler on 2010 Lexus RX350

Question:
What is the best bike carrier for the 2010 Lexus RX350. My concern is the spoiler on the rear. Will a car mounted carrier damage that spoiler? Thanks

A rear spoiler often poses a challenge to the fit of a trunk-mount bike carrier. Several manufacturers offer carriers designed expressly for compatibility with this feature, but note that in most instances it is recommended that only a 2-bike carrier be used on such vehicles, including your Lexus RX350. Note also that a rear wiper cannot be used with a trunk-mount carrier installed.
I have provided a link to our product page for trunk-mount 2-bike carriers that can be used on your RX350. There are products from both Thule and Hollywood Racks, including the excellent Thule OutWay, part # TH45JV, which features folding arms, included locks for both your bikes and the rack itself, the patented Thule Fit Dial mounting system and molded rubber padding to protect your vehicle finish. Hollywood Racks offers their Over-the-Top 2 Bike Carrier, part # HRF2, which can fold when not in use, includes adjustable arms, and which offers steel construction with 6 foam pads to protect your vehicle finish. Both carriers include a manufacturer limited lifetime warranty.
We do always recommend when installing any accessory on your vehicle that the surfaces of both the vehicle and accessory item be clean and free from dust and road grime that might act as an abrasive on your vehicle finish.
If you need to carry more than two bikes, or if your bikes happen to be heavier than the limits of most trunk-mount carriers (generally 33-35 lbs per bike maximum) then a hitch receiver and hitch-mount bike carrier will be a better option. This may also be preferable if you expect to ever use other hitch-mount items such as a cargo carrier, or if towing is a future possibility. We offer four 2-inch Class III trailer hitch receivers for your RX350, each rated at a substantial 400-lb tongue weight. This capacity is more than enough to support a bike carrier and loaded bikes. Please refer to the link provided. Hitch carriers also avoid interference with rear wipers and will not contact your vehicle paint finish.
I have provided also a link to our page for Class III hitch-mount bike carriers that will fit a 2-inch hitch. You can use the filters at the left margin to narrow products to those best-suited to your specific requirements. You can filter results by number of bikes, by rack style (hanging or platform) and by other features based on your preferences. I have included an article concerning hitch carriers that may be helpful as you evaluate this option.
