What's the capacity for the stealth hitch on my 2022 BMW X5?

The Stealth Hitches that fit your 2022 BMW X5 will have a 600 lb tongue weight rating and an 8,000 lbs tow weight rating. If you are planning on using this for accessories, like a bike rack or cargo carrier, then you need the kit # SH89VR which comes with the receiver only. If you are planning on doing some towing as well then you need the kit # SH25VR instead which comes with the receiver for accessories as well as wiring and a ball mount that you'll need to use for towing.
We actually had the opportunity to install this on a 2021 X5 so I'm linking that installation and a photo for you to check out. It's also worth noting that trailer hitches are typically rated for more weight than what the vehicle is capable of so it would be a good idea to double check the weight capacity from the manufacturer for your X5 as well prior to towing or hauling anything.
