Question:

Would the BAKflip BAK48330 work well when towing a 5th wheel with my 2022 Ford F-350 short bed? If not, what would you suggest?

According to BAKflip, when the # BAK48330 is folded up against the rear of the truck cab, it'll reach into the bed by about 9 inches. Since the cover sits against the back of the cab when folded up and reaches most of the way up to the roof, it would be a little too close for comfort to the front corners of your 5th wheel during turns.

I'd rather see you use a retractable cover like the Retrax # RT60383 which will not extend up past the top of the bed sides when fully retracted, so it won't interfere with 5th wheel towing in the slightest. The canister that the top retracts into will take up about 12 inches of bed space at the front, but because it won't stick up past the top of the bed sides, there's no danger of the 5th wheel contacting it during turns.
