I need a trailer hitch for my 2022 BMW X3 M40i for towing. It looks like you have two options, which would you recommend? Thanks.

For your 2022 BMW X3 M40i I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76226. The Stealth Hitch # SH46FR you were looking at is not capable of towing unless you add the addition of the towing package upgrade kit.

The # 76226 is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a concealed cross tube which will help maintain a factory look, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

Since you plan on doing some towing, you will also need to add wiring. I recommend the Tekonsha ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT. This wiring harness will provide you with a 4-way connection at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights.

For a ball mount, check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
