Can You Replace A Roof Vent Dome Lid With A Different Brand Than The Original

Question:

My vent dome blew off and the fantastic fan stop working? I need a replacement unit! What kinds of vents can I choose from, besides Fantastic fan ? Is The other brands okay! Ther cheaper more affordable! But will they do the job?? I see there’s other makes too! Thanks for your help and guidance

All roof vent lids are not universal, but they are similar. We do offer Camco, Valterra, VentLine, and MaxxAir roof vents; but the main thing to pay attention to is the type of hinge for your roof vent has. There are 3 point hinges, 4 point hinges, continuous hinges, and universal hinges.

The Replacement Dome for Fan-Tastic Vent RV Roof Vent # FVK1020-19 referenced, is a continuous metal hinge type.
