We have a way to install a Rhino Rack Pioneer Plaform on the roof of your 2004 Mercedes Benz ML 500 that has raised rails on it's roof but not with the Backbone mounts. You'd instead need to install a set of crossbars like the Malone rack part # MPG216 so that you could install a universal mount Pioneer Platform like the # RR42115BF which measures 58 inch by 47 inch.
