Third Crossbar for Cab of 2020 Ram 2500 to Use Yakima 84x49 LockNLoad with Bed Cap

If I added another cross bar to the cab of my truck will this platform work between the Bed cap and the Cab. I would have three cross bars but I wasnt sure if there would be movement between the bed and the cab that would cause this setup not to work. Thoughts?

You should be able to install just 1 crossbar on your 2020 Ram 2500 cab so you can use the Yakima LockNLoad Platform Rack for Crossbars - Aluminum - 84" Long x 49" Wide # Y05047-39 between that and the 2 bars on your bed cap. To accomplish this you will need the following:
59" Vortex Crossbar - # RRVA150B
2500 Series Legs - # RRRLKVAH
Fit Kit - # DK043H
The only reason this may not work is if your bed cap sits a bit taller than your truck cab as that would then give you enough of an offset that I'm not sure it would be compatible. The top of the Rhino-Rack Vortex bars should sit about 5" above the cab of your Ram so you can use this to compare with the bars on your bed cap. If there is a significant difference then we may need to try adding a 3rd bar to your bed cap and move the Yakima LockNLoad further back.
