Question:
I have a 1997 chevy k1500. i want to add a 4 pin and 7 pin to the rear of my truck. i do not want the big long pigtail for the 4 pin trailer. i want it all to be hidden with only a 4 and 7 pin connector available. How do i do this? Thanks in advance!

To get a 7 Way, like the Hopkins # 37185, added to your 1997 Chevy K1500 you will need to start with a 4 Flat, like the # C59496. This will have the long pigtail though, so if you didn't want to just wrap it up or something, it can definitely also be cut off and then spliced into the # 37185, but the 4 Flat on the back will also need to be removed.
From here, you will need the Wiring Kit # 5506 to get the 12 volt power wire and brake controller signal (if needed) all connected up properly. This will include 25 feet of Duplex wiring as well as 3 circuit breakers.
To complete a set up like this, you will also need a few more Butt Connectors, and the 10 pack # DW05745-10 should be more than enough to get you covered.
