Question:
I just bought this rack with intention to install solar panels on my Ford E350. The manual indicates not to drive above 55 MPH with rack installed... what??? Is this a standard clause on ladder racks?

Expert Reply:
It is not a standard clause for the ladder racks for your 2005 Ford Van, but MaxxTow does have these limits on their racks and even has the same thing on cargo carriers for some reason. If you want a rack without those limits for your '05 Ford you can go with an option from Buyer's Products:
- Buyers Products Van Ladder Rack - 2 Bar # 3371501310
- Buyers Products Van Ladder Rack - 3 Bar # 3371501310-3
