I have a Ram 3500 factory prep, hitch but my gooseneck ball does NOT have a handle on top. It has a plastic push pin on each side at the bottom base of the neck of the ball. Will the convert -a-ball work for me? Thanks I can't upload a photo from my phone to my computer at the moment.

The Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter part # CAB-C5G is not designed to be used with certain factory gooseneck hitch balls like part # RP19311 as the integrated locking level on the top of the ball can wear down over time and make the latch inoperable. That said, we do have gooseneck hitch balls compatible with the factory prep package and the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter like the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit for Ram Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNXA2062 which uses a different latch.
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the gooseneck hitch ball you have described but so long as the latch is not built into the top of the ball there should be no issues.
