Question:
Is it bolted to the tailgate of the truck? If not, what prevents it from slipping when in use. What is its weight limit? If it bolts on, what are the instructions for installation?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Westin Truck-Pal Fold-Up Bed Ladder, # 10-3000, does get secured to the truck tailgate using the included fasteners. The fasteners also require a special bit, which is included. This is a theft deterrent because the bit is not common.
The fasteners are self-tapping and will screw into the tailgate.
The weight capacity of the ladder is 300 pounds.
