In order to use the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR with your 2022 Toyota Highlander (without factory tow package), you first need a 4-pole wiring harness. I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK99FR. Then, you will need a 7-way harness: the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat # ETBC7. With this wiring harness, you will be able to have running lights/brake light functions as well as a setup for the Tow-Pro Elite on your trailer. I went ahead and attached the installation videos of these components to help you out with the process.
