To determine if you'll be able to jackknife your trailer you'll need to measure from the center of your fifth wheel hitch to cab of your truck. This will be measurement A and you'll be able to add 22-1/2 inches due to the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550040 sliding feature. Then you'll need to measure the width of your trailer and divide it by 2, this will be measurement B. You'll then subtract measurement B from measurement A (A-B=C). If the number is 4 or larger then you'll have enough clearance to make a 90 degree turn.
To install the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550040 in your 2020 Ram 1500 you'll need to the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Hitches # DM8552032-71. These custom brackets will not require any drilling into your frame to install which will drastically decrease installation time.
