Can a Locking Hitch Pin Be Used When Towing
Question:
Can the locking pin be used for towing or should the regular pin with clip be used for towing? Is there an advantage to one over the other for towing? Vehicle is 2015 Toyota Highlander XLE. Many thanks

Yes. You can absolutely use the locking hitch pin that is included in the Curt Towing Starter Kit # C45534 when towing. There isn't any real advantage outside of the extra security it provides, but it's a good way to help secure the ball mount the vehicle.
