Base Plates and Tow Bar To Flat-Tow a 2017 Jeep Wrangler

In order to flat-tow a 2017 Jeep Wrangler you need a base plate kit and a compatible tow bar. The base plate installs on the vehicle and the tow bar attaches to the base plate and motorhome. If you already have a tow bar that you need to find a compatible base plate kit for please let me know what brand you have. That said, it sounds like you don't have either therefore I recommend using the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part # BX1126 with the Blue Ox Ascent Non-Binding Tow Bar part # BX4370.

The above is designed for the factory bumper, if you have a different one please let me know.

Hello. I have a demo commander tow bar and want to tow a 2012 jeep wrangler Sahara. I’ve looked at several baseplates and these seem to be compatible Curt. 70102 Blue ox 1126 Blue ox. 1134 Curt c38fr I’m leaning toward a curt. Please advise. Thanks. Drew

@Drew Assuming that your Jeep has the factory bumper, I'd recommend the Blue Ox # BX1126. You'll also need the # BX88310 adapter. There isn't an available adapter for your tow bar to work with Curt base plates.
