The only trailer hitch option for a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 that will work with the factory hitch is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C15307 which actually installs under the factory hitch. This will result in a much lower connection point. The Curt hitch also has a much higher capacity than the factory hitch. It does not require any drilling or welding for installation.
