Question:

Please confirm that this hitch will fit the X5. I’m confused because it comes up for that model but your site says it is not confirmed. I’m ready to place my order today. Thanks.

I have a different EcoHitch option for your 2014 BMW X5, but the # 306-X7293 you were looking at is designed for a 2017 - 2020 Toyota 86, 2013 - 2016 Scion FR-S, and the 2013 - 2020 Subaru BRZ.

For your 2014 BMW X5 you will need to go with the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch # 306-X7265 if your vehicle does NOT have a backup sensor, or the # EH44FR if your vehicle DOES have a backup sensor.

Both of these hitches have a completely removeable receiver so when not in use the hitch will be 100% invisible, and the 750lb tongue weight rating and 5000lb trailer weight rating makes it a viable option for many uses such as carrying a bike rack or cargo carrier, or using a ball mount to tow a trailer.

If you will be towing a trailer with your X5 you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # 119250KIT, and a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip which can all be found in the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900.
