Question:

We are interested in the Draw-Tite hitch for the 2020 Audi Q3. What is your experience with the visibility of the hitch once installed. Our Q3 has the sport package. Is the receiver the only thing visible? will it stick out past the bumper? We will be using the hitch for a bike rack. thanks

Expert Reply:

Once installed, the only portion of the Draw-Tite # DT68MR Class III hitch that will be visible from the rear is the receiver tube and the safety chain loops as you can see in the photo I fetched from the instructions. You will need to do some trimming of the rear fascia as shown in the linked install instructions.

We haven't installed this hitch yet, so unfortunately, I couldn't say if the hitch extends past the rear face of the bumper. Judging by the perspective seen in the photo, it would appear that the rear face of the receiver tube is pretty much even with or slightly recessed back from the furthest rearward point of the bumper.

If you should decide to use the hitch for towing purposes, you'll also need the Towing Kit w/ Ball Mount and Trailer Wiring for Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver - 2" Ball # SH82VR.
