How To Correctly Measure RV Vent Opening
Updated 09/23/2021 | Published 09/22/2021 >
Question:
Hi, I went on top my 2014 Sportsmen RK and measured my vents from outside. I got 16x16 for the square ones and 16x26 for the skylight over the shower. I am not seeing any vent/skylight protectors with those measurements. Have I measured incorrectly? Thank you, Maria.

In order to properly measure your RV's vents, you will want to measure the size of the rough opening in your RV's roof. This can be measured by removing the garnish around the vent on the inside of the RV and measuring the size of the rough opening.
The most common RV vent's measurements are 14" x 14" like the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat # MA00-06200K.
